Event 01 — Run the meet

The run screen, lane by lane.

Pull times from the console, watch splits and live team scores update as you go, and handle the messy parts cleanly: no-shows, DQs, declared false starts, judges' decisions, scratch-downs and swim-offs. Late change on deck? Deck Adjust drags a swimmer into an empty lane or a fresh heat without leaving the run screen.

Event 02 — Diving

Diving, judged live from the judges’ own phones.

Build each diver’s sheet — type a dive code like 305C and the degree of difficulty fills in from the published FINA / NFHS table, or import a coach’s eDive sheet. Then run the event the way you run a timing console: every judge takes a seat on their own iPhone or iPad through the free Swim Coach Toolkit app, awards land on the operator’s screen as they’re keyed, and nothing is final until the operator presses Award. Totals flow straight into team scores, results, live results and the scoreboard.

Talks to your timing system.

Connect the console you already run with and pull race results straight into the meet — over a standard serial link and a USB-C adapter on the Mac. Need two? Run a second console for chase starts, a split pool, or plain redundancy.

Event 04 — Spectators

Live results, on every phone in the stands.

Publish a self-contained results site that updates on its own and never gets stuck in a browser cache. Spectators get results, heat and psych sheets, and standings — with full splits on every swim, and a light or dark view. Host it free on Cloudflare R2, push it to your own SFTP/FTP server, or write it to a folder you serve yourself.

Event 05 — The scoreboard

A live scoreboard, in every pocket.

Plug a $25 serial adapter into your timing console — Colorado System 5/6 or Daktronics OmniSport 2000 — and the Mac serves a live web scoreboard: the running clock, real names pulled from your heats, splits as they land, places at the touch. Anyone on the pool WiFi scans a QR code and it’s on their phone. Flip one switch and the same board joins your published live results as a Live Board tab — clock still ticking — for the folks watching from home.

Backup times — and dive scores — from any device on deck.

Meet staff and volunteers connect in seconds to type in backup times, print reports and award labels, and — on diving day — take a seat on the judging panel, from an iPhone, an iPad, or an Apple silicon Mac, whatever's already in their hand. The free companion app, Swim Coach Toolkit, runs on all three, so nobody's tied to one kind of device while your meet Mac stays the one and only writer of official results.

Per chute, keep a ranks list and a times list: type competitor numbers in rapid succession as they finish, capture times live with the Mac as a button timer, listen on a serial port, or read a downloaded times file. Match ranks to times, then update the results into the meet in flights of ten — with unknown finishers flagged before anything is written.

WU

Warm-up planner

Teams, athlete counts, the pool setup and your warm-up rules go in; a block, lane and time plan comes out — efficient for the pool, equitable across teams, with one-way sprint windows if you use them. Copy it as text for the heat sheet or the deck, or print the Warm-Up Schedule report.

CTS Scoreboard Clock

Drive a legacy Colorado fixed-digit or matrix scoreboard as a running race clock or a time-of-day pace clock straight from the Mac — a $25 serial adapter instead of a console for scoreboard-only duty at practice and warm-ups.

Chase starts in long course with odd heats on one console and even heats on the other, split a meet across two pools, or daisy-chain two consoles on every race so a misread can be pulled from the other one.
