Swim Meet Toolkit is built on SDIF — swimming's standard data format — and opens your existing HY-TEK and Lenex files too. Run the whole meet end to end on macOS — swimming, diving and open water: connect the timing console on deck, seed and score, judge the dives from the judges’ own phones, put results and a live diving leaderboard on a TV by the pool, publish live results, print every report, and export results straight to the SWIMS database. No Windows. No Parallels. No workarounds.
You don't have to rebuild a thing. Swim Meet Toolkit opens the files you already have — entries, rosters, events, records and standards — and can recover an entire meet straight from a HY-TEK .mdb database. Lenex files from SPLASH and swimrankings come in too, and importing a file a second time never doubles up a team, a swimmer or an entry. Run your next meet on a Mac without leaving your data behind.
Pulling from online entries? Drop in an export zip from OME / SWIMS, TeamUnify, or SwimTopia and every entry file inside is found and merged.
And it all goes back out the same way: results for SWIMS as SDIF, all-team or single-team results for Team Manager and Swim Coach Toolkit (SDIF or HY-TEK .hy3), an SDIF entries file, the event list for Team Manager (.hyv + .ev3) or Swim Coach Toolkit, and a full Lenex set — meet invitation, entries and results with every round, split and relay swimmer.
From the first import to the last award label — the same workflow you know, rebuilt as a real Mac app.
Pull times from the console, watch splits and live team scores update as you go, and handle the messy parts cleanly: no-shows, DQs, declared false starts, judges' decisions, scratch-downs and swim-offs. Late change on deck? Deck Adjust drags a swimmer into an empty lane or a fresh heat, and the Quick Menu opens Athletes and Relays in a window beside the run screen — without ever leaving timing. Every edit can be undone.
Build each diver’s sheet — type a dive code like 305C and the degree of difficulty fills in from the published FINA / NFHS table, or import a coach’s eDive sheet. Then run the event the way you run a timing console: every judge takes a seat on their own iPhone or iPad through the free Swim Coach Toolkit app, awards land on the operator’s screen as they’re keyed, and nothing is final until the operator presses Award. Totals flow straight into team scores, results, live results and the scoreboard — and onto a TV by the boards, where the Audience Display shows the diver on the board, every judge’s score as it’s awarded, and the standings round by round.
Connect the console you already run with and pull race results straight into the meet — over a standard serial link and a USB-C adapter on the Mac. The event list goes down to the console in meet order, and each race comes back with Get Times or By Race#: the touchpad time, every backup button and every split. On a Daktronics OmniSport 2000 the app speaks the same results-port language Meet Manager does, so names and teams go up to the console and the board as the operator changes heats. Need two? Run a second console for chase starts, a split pool, or plain redundancy.
Meet-tested on deck. Proven on a Colorado System 6 over the standard deck cable — the pad time and all three backup buttons pulled straight from the console’s stored race.
Publish a self-contained results site that updates on its own and never gets stuck in a browser cache. Spectators get results, heat and psych sheets, and standings — with full splits on every swim, a search box and a Follow list for their own swimmers, and a light or dark view. A QR poster on the deck brings the stands to it, and its TV mode runs on any screen. Host it free on Cloudflare R2, push it to your own SFTP/FTP server, or write it to a folder you serve yourself.
Plug a $25 serial adapter into your timing console — the scoreboard line on a Colorado System 5/6, or the RTD port on a Daktronics OmniSport 2000 — or listen for the console’s network broadcast, and the Mac serves a live web scoreboard: the running clock, real names pulled from your heats, splits as they land, places at the touch. Anyone on the pool WiFi scans a QR code and it’s on their phone. Flip one switch and the same board joins your published live results as a Live Board tab — clock still ticking — for the folks watching from home.
Plug a TV or a second monitor into the meet Mac and the Audience Display fills it, while the keyboard stays with you. Finalized results turn a page every 10 seconds with the team scores at the end, and an event shows up the moment it’s scored. While a diving event runs, the same screen becomes a live leaderboard: the diver on the board, every judge’s score with the dropped ones struck out, and the standings round by round.
Meet staff and volunteers connect in seconds to type in backup times, print reports and award labels, and — on diving day — take a seat on the judging panel, from an iPhone, an iPad, or an Apple silicon Mac, whatever's already in their hand. Table staff and dive judges sign in with separate passwords, and a phone that locks or drops off the Wi-Fi gets its seat straight back. The free companion app, Swim Coach Toolkit, runs on all three, so nobody's tied to one kind of device while your meet Mac stays the one and only writer of official results.
Psych sheets, meet programs, lane and timer sheets, results with A, B and C finals, team scores, high-point awards, finals qualifiers, award labels, diving sheets, exception reports and more — filtered by session, gender or team, in one, two or three columns, straight to a Mac printer or PDF.
Seed standard or circle, slow-to-fast or fast-to-slow, in bulk or event by event, with optional strict lane assignment — or by age then time for masters. Dual meets put the home team in its own lanes with the fastest in the center, and a tie for the last spot in a final is flagged with a one-click swim-off. Then score any format — place-points tables with ready presets for NCAA and high-school duals, USA Swimming, and your own custom point systems — plus time-based power points and multi-class para scoring.
Open water, warm-ups, a spare console, officials, a locked results file — in the same meet, not a second product.
Per chute, keep a ranks list and a times list: type competitor numbers in rapid succession as they finish, capture times live with the Mac as a button timer, listen on a serial port, or read a downloaded times file. Match ranks to times, then update the results into the meet in flights of ten — with unknown finishers flagged before anything is written.
Teams, athlete counts, the pool setup and your warm-up rules go in; a block, lane and time plan comes out — efficient for the pool, equitable across teams, with one-way sprint windows if you use them. Copy it as text for the heat sheet or the deck, or print the Warm-Up Schedule report.
Drive a legacy Colorado fixed-digit or matrix scoreboard as a running race clock or a time-of-day pace clock straight from the Mac — a $25 serial adapter instead of a console for scoreboard-only duty at practice and warm-ups. Its output matches a live Colorado console frame for frame.
Chase starts in long course with odd heats on one console and even heats on the other, split a meet across two pools, or daisy-chain two consoles on every race so a misread can be pulled from the other one.
A real officials roster — roles, certification levels, per-session assignments, sign-in and contact details — and World Para Swimming S / SB / SM classifications on athletes, with multi-class scoring to match.
After the meet, send out a locked, read-only copy of the file: it opens read-only everywhere and carries a tamper-evident seal, so an edited file shows up as edited. Repair scans, purge tools and automatic backups keep the working file tidy.
Drag events into a new order, or move one to the number you type and see which events change first. Only the events it passes are renumbered, so gaps and a 101+ Time Trial block stay exactly where they are.
Open the sample meet — a small, made-up dual meet with teams, heats, scored events and splits — and click through the whole program before your first real meet.
The same meet, set up the way each person on deck needs it.
Make every page bigger or smaller with ⌘+ and ⌘−, the slider or a trackpad pinch — text stays crisp and every button clicks where you see it. Size the sidebar on its own, big across the table or dense for a power user.
Show, hide and resize the run-screen panels — heats, splits and live scores — so the layout matches the meet you're running, on any size of display.
Run the whole app in English, Français, Español or हिन्दी — every screen is translated — whichever your officials and volunteers are most comfortable in. A real help at invitationals and international meets.
Swim Meet Toolkit is the meet manager; its free companion, Swim Coach Toolkit, is the team manager — together a complete pair across Mac, iPhone and iPad. With full SDIF support and Lenex (.lxf) import and export, it reads and writes the standard files, so it sits comfortably alongside HY-TEK Meet Manager and Team Manager.
